The origins of Gofer Parts can be traced back to the 1970s. It was during this time that David Chen joined a select group of pioneers who played a key role in shaping the early development of the floor scrubber industry.

The story began in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where David spent much of his childhood fixing cars, lawnmowers, and just about anything with an engine. While working with his father-in-law on the construction site of an A&P grocery store, an A&P executive asked if he could repair an auto scrubber at another store down the road. David gladly accepted the task. At the time, he had no idea that this one-off job would eventually mark the beginning of his lifelong journey in the floor care industry.
